Ingredients
· 2 cups tightly packed fresh basil
· ½ cup walnuts or pine nuts
· 1-2 cloves of garlic
· ½ extra-virgin olive oil
· Sea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
· 1 tablespoon lemon juice
· 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
Directions
1. Place the basil, walnut or pine nuts, and garlic in a food processor or high speed blender. Pulse until the mixture is coarsely ground.
2. Turn on motor and drizzle the olive oil into the mixture in a thin stream. Add the sea salt, pepper, lemon and nutritional yeast. Pulse until combined.
3. Serve over pasta or as a fresh dip for bread and vegetables.
